IEVA LIAUGAUDAITE
About

My journey in painting began in 2009 at the art studio “Mėlyna – geltona” under the guidance of artist Antanas Beinaravičius. From 2014 to 2017, I continued my studies at the Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis Art School.
This path led me to studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where in 2020, I earned a Master's degree in fresco-mosaic. I delved into the secrets of painting with guidance from artists such as Linas Liandzbergis, Gintaras Palemonas Janonis, and others.
In recent years, my creative work has been significantly influenced by the practices of East Asian calligraphy and spontaneous ink painting. These practices, characterized by the poetic release of the creator's vital energy and harmonious compositional structures, have helped me cultivate a stronger sense of composition, which is reflected in my paintings and watercolor works.
I am delighted that many of my paintings have found homes across the world, and that I have the opportunity to participate in exhibitions and painting retreats both in Lithuania and abroad. I have participated in over 30 group exhibitions, held four solo exhibitions, and my works have been displayed at auctions in Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, and the United States. I am especially proud to have exhibited my works at the Lithuanian National Museum of Art (one of which was acquired for their collection upon their request), the Lithuanian Museum of Applied Arts and Design, the K. Varnelis House-Museum, and at biennales in Italy. My paintings are owned by private collectors in Lithuania and abroad, as well as by institutions such as the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and the Trakai Castle and the Medininkai Castle Museums.
